Astrological Signs: All Signs of the Zodiac

What is your sign? We have all heard this question at parties and sometimes when you meet someone new. Many people refer to the zodiac sign as your sun sign. Astrology is not just about your sun sign. An astrological horoscope includes a moon sign, rising sign and all the other planets in the solar system. Your sun sign, moon sign and rising sign all have an influence to create your unique personality. The other planets also play a part in your personality and happenings in your life. These signs are determined by the positions of the heavenly bodies at the precise date, time and location of your birth. Your personal astrology horoscope can be duplicated only once every 25,000 years. The reason for this phenomena is that planets move around the sun at different speeds.

You personal astrological chart may be very enlightening about your personality, your past and perhaps your future. Below I describe the key elements of an astrological chart: sun signs, moon signs, rising signs and sign delineations.

Following your zodiac sign is easy enough, as the sun passes from one sign to the next on an average of 30 days. However, the influence of the other planets can be remarkable. More to come on that later.

Check out your sun sign to establish your goals and dreams in life, which is part of your astrology learning and understanding. The zodiac sign is about the basic you, and your personal ego. When blended with other planetary placements your zodiac sign can have many focuses. That is one reason why all Virgos, Libras etc. are not the same. It is said that the sun sign is 90% of your personality. I do not always agree with this. But since mostly everyone knows what sign they were born under, a list of easy to follow traits have emerged.

The moon changes signs approximately every 2 1/2 days. You would have to find a specific chart with the moon placement on the day you were born to find out your moon sign. The moon is your emotional personality. How do you react in different situations? How romantic are you? How emotional are you? There are many things to consider here. However, again when teamed up with your sun sign--both signs have influence on each other.

Your rising sign is determined by your time of birth, and again you would need to find a special chart to find out where your rising sign was on the day of your birth. The rising sign represents the way the outside world sees you. If it is the same sign as your sun sign it add strength to your sun sign characteristics. Perhaps you are a Taurus with a Gemini Moon and a Libra rising. There will be lots of different influences on your personality which adds or takes away from your Taurus personality.

Libra, Gemini, Aquarius---Air signs-intellectual. Strong influence in a chart means these folks often intellectualize happenings in their lives.

Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn-Earth signs Practical. Strong influence in a chart means these folks are practical, follow a path and see it to the end.

Pisces, Cancer, Scorpio-Water signs-Strong influence in a chart means these folks respond emotionally to surroundings and can often go off in their own world. Yes, they often love water.

Aries, Leo, Sagittarius-Fire Signs-Strong influence in a chart means these folks react quickly and are energetic in their responses. They can often act without tihinking.

In Astrology there are no hard and fast rules which is the most important thing to learn about your Astrology education.

Many years ago in the early 1980s I had a syndicated astrology column. I also wrote for several newspapers and magazines. I had a TV show and several radio shows.
